What can I say.
Poor Kev spent ages on my car,a BMW Z4 sDrive 35i, not his fault, as the software from my cars ECU to his laptop transferred at a slow rate. Anyway, the job was done in a very professional way, Kev was very knowledgeable about the whole process.
The test drive after the remap was an astonishing experience, the car now has monster urge, it was fast before but now it's amazing. The power delivery is super smooth, pulling cleanly in all gears from just above idle, its totally addictive, you guys have turned a great car into a brilliant one, well done!
Anyone thinking of getting this sort of work done? do it! You will not stop smiling and all you will want to do is drive!
Regards Stu

I had my BMW 135i 3.0 litre Twin Turbo Re-mapped by Celtic tuning on 8th April 09. Although the job took longer than expected the results are amazing. The car was running 306 BHP pre install, the next day I put the car on the rolling road at Well Lane Turbo Centre. At first the figures were disappointing 163 BHP???, The car was spinning up on the rollers so after some sticky tyre stuff and 2 people sat in the boot!!!! we got a reading of 365 BHP (59 BHP over standard), the operator said he had never seen such a smooth power curve, (Corner 2 corner) and was truly amazed at the results. I was sceptical at first as most of the reviews I had read were for either Diesel cars or naturally aspirated. I can only say thanks to Luke and the team at Celtic Tuning, Great Job, I would recommend to all. |

Just a note to say thank you for a job well done. Took a bit longer than expected, but now I appreciate the individual attention that each client receives in getting a totally individual remap without cutting corners.
Car totally transformed from sedate cruiser to hot hatch. Now actually enjoy driving the car whereas before simply a means of transport.
Happy to say better fuel economy - 5mpg on average. Simply stunning! Thanks.

I had my BMW 320d (136 bhp) remapped by Graham at Celtic Tuning last Saturday and over the following week proceeded to give it a full test with over 1200 miles going on the clock.
The first thing you notice is the extra torque, bags and bags of it! The turbo kicks in so much sooner now and it keeps going right up to the red line, where the next gear does exactlty the same.
I used to drive an Impreza turbo and, although you cannot compare the two for speed, you get the same kind of pull in higher gears on the motorway. Fuel economy is worse at the minute, but that's because I am enjoying the extra power too much. I did take is steady for 100 miles or so and it seems about the same as before.
Very very happy!
Update 22nd August 2006 ..........
Car was remapped at 90,000 miles, it has now done 137,000 and has never missed a beat. Highly recommended.

Just to say "thanks" for the remap, it was a really friendly service and now my car feels far more responsive and the power band is much wider, she's eager to pull in any gear and with her added eagerness blasting from standstill to the point when all of that glorious torque takes over and accelerates you warp speed is so much faster.
In everyday terms my 330d has gone from being a relatively quick yet frugal car into a very usable quick car with simply awesome in-gear acceleration and no loss of fuel economy whatsoever! Quite a feat boys, thanks,
Peter. |

Post remapping I am pleased to report that in town driving or heavy traffic at low speed, there is no desernable difference in the sub 2k rpm, pulling smoothly and without fuss in all useable gears.#break
Rapid get away from a standing start i.e. 'boy racer starts' albeit not my favoured way of driving, is now achieved much more aggressively and 2k to 5k rpm comes up far quicker such that you are virtually changing gear not long after flooring your right foot
through 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Now for the important bit. When accelerating on the move from above 2k rpm 4th, 5th and even 6th still gives you a smooth but more urgent surge of power thrusting the car along at a faster pace than before. Gears 4th and 5th are adrenalin pumping modes when the conditions are allowable and 6th is just amazing at the improved ability to accelerate at the higher motorway speeds.

Just a quick note to say how pleased I am with the ECU remap you did on my BMW last weekend. The BMW 3L Diesel is already one of the smoothest and most powerful diesel engines available, but after the re-map it is so much more responsive and the acceleration needs to be experienced to be believed.
My other car is a 996 C4 and the in gear acceleration for overtaking is at least as quick if not better than that now. The fuel consumption has even decreased slightly due to the reduced requirement for gear changes. My only problem now is that I have to keep a close eye on the speedo as 60 is reached so quick and you don't even notice it. I would recommend this to anyone who has a 3Lt BMW diesel, you no longer need that boy racer Impreza.
