Vauxhall Astra 1.7 DTi Tuning

I found Celtic Tuning when searching the net for ECU chips, found out that the remap is better and cheaper than the chip. So Tony came to where I was working to do his magic, job done in an hour or so. Instant improvement, 75bhp to 115bhp (50% more!) never thought that a 1.7 DTi could do that! The most noticeable difference is the massive amounts of torque on hills that I know. Where before I would do in third, it'll pull fine in 4th or even 5th! Been driving with a fairly heavy foot for a week and no change in fuel consumption, on a long journey it'll be way better, if your thinking about it... Do it!...unlock the beast in your bonnet! Only down side...on a few occasions I left my tyres on the road behind me!

I have got to say that i never thought that my astra would be able to shift like it does nows and even the standard wastegate makes itself known. Vauxhall Astra 1.7 CDTi 100bhp Remap

The Celtic Tuning remap has taken my Astra up to 150bhp and totally transformed it! Acceleration is so much better, much more responsive. I can put my foot down in 2nd, 3rd, 4 th and 5 th and feel instant grunt. 150bhp is just right, too – any more and the rest of the chassis wouldn’t really cope. Fuel consumption is slightly improved too – amazing! The remap has turned a run-of-the-mill car into something that’s actually nice to drive. Regards, Damon Brown

Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi 120bhp Remap

A fantastic team and a truly amazing result. The customer service from these guys is without doubt, superb. I was concerned about remapping my van with so few miles on the clock. After talking to Graham I was completely happy to go ahead. The result is much better than I had anticipated; obviously the additional power is expected, but the subtle improvements really are very impressive - the van starts better and runs smoother which from a brand new engine you would think is impossible. At running temperature it hardly sounds like a diesel and fuel economy has actually increased. Before the remap it also smoked quite heavily, now it's perfectly clean. The power delivery of the engine is now much smoother and available from an earlier rpm continuing throughout the rpm range. Thanks a lot guys, a genuine product and superb service. Mark

Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi 150bhp Tuning

Well what can I say? Initially I was very concerned about tampering with the ECU on my 4 month old Astra 1.9 150. I think I've lost count of the amount of emails and phone calls I made to Tony and his team. All my questions were answered in great detail and I soon began to feel much more confident about the whole thing. Sam arrived at 18:00 one evening having covered goodness how many miles that day armed with his lap top ready carry out my remap. The job took just over two hours and my remap was custom to how I wanted my car to perform. Very soon after we were firing up the engine and off out on the initial road test. I must stress that we were in a "diesel" and my goodness what a different car it is now. We set off and straight away I noticed a massive difference. The car performs the same if not better than a petrol turbo. There is no such limited power band anymore, the engine pulls from just under 2000rpm right round well towards the red line. The engine will now be somewhere between 205 -210bhp and the torque is just astounding. I must add that the "sport" button is unchanged and functions exactly as it did prior to the remap. All I can say to anyone thinking of the idea of having their engine remapped is to go for it. I can certainly say that I cover never go back to driving a standard 1.9 again. Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi 150bhp Remap

Thanks for remapping my Astra from 150bhp right up to 205bhp, superb performance and thats even considering I'm more used to driving Porsche's. No need for dyno printouts, its every bit of 205bhp! Fuel economy is as per usual if not a touch better and the in-gear acceleration is mind blowing, all this from a 1.9 diesel engines, a great job well done! Thanks Chris

Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi 150bhp Remap

Remap was done by a very pleasant young man and took the best part of three hours as the ecu had to be removed. The wait was well worth it and first impressions are extremely favourable. The engine sounds much better under acceleration and is much quieter and smoother at idle (no diesel clatter at all) The driveability and acceleration in all gears is superb, it will pull cleanly from 1700 rpm in 6th and acceleration in 3rd and 4th from 30mph to 70mph is awsome and that is with the sport switch off. I wonder if I will ever need to switch it on. Plenty of power and no torque steer. It is too early to say if there will be an improvement in fuel consumption but as I can poodle along at 35 mph in 5th gear with a very light throttle and the on board computer showing an average fuel consumption of 73.6 mpg I think there is a fair chance that driven sensibly there could be a 4/5 mpg gain. All in all a worthwhile improvement to the car and the driving experience. Chris Crooks

Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTi 120bhp Remap

Two weeks after having my Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTI re-map done I am still smiling every time I push the accelerator pedal down! A 60bhp increase is definitely there, along with a 100 extra torques completely transform this 1.9 turbo diesel. The car seems to hussle along the road now, and only feels sluggish if you are in 6th gear, unlike the old map, which seems to be slow in every gear! I would highly recommend Celtic Tuning, the service that they provide is superb. Many thanks and I will be using you again in the not to distant future! Sam

Vauxhall VX220 Turbo Remap

Graham from Celtic Tuning came out to me last Sunday, he then performed a remap on my 2003 Vauxhall VX220 Turbo which is around 200BHP standard, I had already had a full Miltek exhaust fitted to the car to aid any remap being done to it. It took Graham about 20 minutes to upload the new map and make sure everything was in order with the car, I then took the car out with a friend, I proceeded to go very slow and let the ecu "learn" the new parameters of the new map, but I could tell immediately that the car felt different, it wanted to go straight away instead of being flat until boost. I then put my foot down in second gear and my god I have never driven such a quick car in my life (previously owning a P1 and Skyline R33 GTR!), the VX was off like a missile!, it pulls in every gear all the way through the revs and doesn't give up, my passenger also was very impressed. So I am very happy with what Celtic Tuning have done to my car and would recommend Graham's work anytime, very happy customer!

Vauxhall Astra 2.0 GSi Turbo Remap

How can I describe the change in a nutshell, AMAZING!!! The car feels totally different. Peter arrived bright and early in the morning and got on with the remap. Two hours later it was sorted and we took it for a drive. WOW!! Smooth powerful acceleration is what I immediately noticed. The turbo is literately in for the whole rev range and it pulls in every gear, motorway driving is very enjoyable. I\'ve already noticed an increase in the mpg! My car was already very quick (197 bhp), now (245 bhp) it means business on the road, the 0-60 has been considerably reduced as well. I love the change so much that I find any excuse to drive the car. Thank you very much Celtic Tuning, driving will never be the same!! Kapil, London
