Hi just want to say big thank you to Kevin, im really pleased with Celtic Tuning. This is my 2nd car I have had remapped by Celtic Tuning. Thank you so much. VW Golf MK4 1.9 TDi 150bhp Remap

Thank you Kevin for arriving on time after nearly a 4 hour journey from Cornwall. I had a number of questions about the tunning and how this would affect the car. Kevin was happy to answer all my questions and explained how everything worked. After the remapping had been completed the test run was an interesting experience. The character and performance of the car had changed appreciably. Acceleration and torque were noticeably improved and this was just minutes after the work had been carried out. Kevin explained that It normally takes up to a 100 miles of so before the full effect of the remapping begins to bed in. I was also encouraged to " give it some" during the first 20 miles. (This apparently helps the ecu to reconfigure the new parameters set by the remap). This was a task that I really enjoyed carrying out, working the engine, and throttle much more than I would normally have done. Thirty minutes later I can report that I have been really pleased and impressed with the transformation. The car responds with much greater determination, acceleration seems efforless, with a huge sense of urgency and I look forward to this being even better in the future when the ecu has accepted all the new mapping. Although I am writing only a few hours after the remapping, I am sure that I made a good decision to go with Celtic Tuning. I look forward to further improvement in the weeks ahead and it will be interesting to see how fuel consumption is affected. Cheers Peter

VW Bora 1.9 TDi 130bhp Remap

Thanks to the lads at celtic tuning my VW Bora 130 has now gained a hell of a lot of power. Top speed seems to have changed as now I can actually get to a top speed as it gets there a lot quicker. I have not had it on the rolling road yet so I don't know the exact stats however you don't need a print out to realise that this car is now the car I was expecting it to be when I first bought it. Every gear pulls like a car should and with it being diesel thats even better, I get a smile on my face when I take boy racers in their 1.6 rabbit hutches.. Thamks a lot the car is a real pleasure to drive.

VW Touran Sport 2.0TDI Remap

Two weeks ago Celtic tuning remapped my Touran - my objective was for it to (1) improve the mpg, (2) improve performance, and hopefully (3) get rid of the performance 'hole' when the DSG had changed down to second and wanting to accelerate away sharpish e.g. at an island (it was just like a bad flat spot in a petrol engined car). I am happy to say all the objectives have been achieved. (1) Overall fuel consumption has improved by at least 5mpg especially urban driving - today I did two 17 mile journeys including a cold start, town and fast dual carriageway driving and without restraining the use of the loud pedal achieved 47 to the gallon on both runs. Long runs including motorway and slow urban easily return 51 mpg. (2) Performance wasn't bad before but now its is smooth and effortless - I am waiting to try a 0 to 60 test with it in manual mode but let the box automatically change up at 4,500rpm! (3)The performance black 'hole' just seems to have vanished. Any one thinking of a remap should definitely seriously consider Celtic Tuning, what have you got to loose? If it doesn't suit they'll reinstall the original programme and give you your money back! Peter - Lancashire

VW Golf 1.9 TDi 115bhp Tuning

I got my GTTDI 115PD re-mapped by Celtic Tuning. The communication before hand was second to none and the lads turned up on the dot. The second the bonnet was lifted down came the sleet. Not put off by this they went to work. What a difference it made!!! Apologies for the 'blue language' on the test drive but I couldn't believe it was the same car! The torque is totally amazing now and it's hard to keep the traction control light out. The power used to drop off at 2500rpm but now it pulls smooth and strong upto 4000rpm. 4th gear pulls like 3rd used to. Economy is certainly no worse, if anything it's better because you don't have to 'drop it down' as much. So glad I got it done instead of paying 1000's more for a GTTDI 150PD. Thanks a bunch. Ian

VW Golf 1.9 TDi 115bhp Tuning

Many thanks for the remap you carried out on my VW GTTDI Golf. I had heard that the remap takes 100 miles or so to bed in but on the test drive the difference was immediately obvious. It's easy to use too many superlatives but the performance really is completely changed. The acceleration in second from 15-45mph is brutal and each gear now pulls like the one lower used to. I find now that changing down is usually unneccesary. Also, apart from the obvious power and torque gains, the engine is running smoother. I have owned the car for 2 years and only wish I had got it done sooner. Gareth

VW Golf 1.9 TDi 130bhp Remap

Just a quick thanks for remapping my car last Thursday. Its settled down really well and with danger of using the biggest clich� ever, it really does feel like a different car! Power is there constantly, it feels smoother and far less sluggish. It pulls all the way through the gears! I keep wanting to pull my foot down! the more I do the larger the smile grows on my face! VW Golf 1.9 TDi 150bhp Tuning

Thanks to the lads at celtic tuning my VW Golf 150 diesel now has the bhp to beat my friends clio sport 185 which feels quick to any driver. For a diesel car you can't want much more. After the re-map was completed I took the car out for a test drive and was told to go steady then open it up however when I put my foot down in 1st,2nd then 3rd gear all I got was the traction light flashing at me. It really does make the car feel completely different. To say this diesel has got 205bhp it doesn't seem possible to the petrol heads in denial. Thanks a lot to all the lads at celtic tuning. VW Golf 1.9 TDi 105bhp Tuning

Just thought I'd catch up with you after you tuned the car on Sunday. As you said it took a little while for the tune to "bed in". I drove it for about 20 mins on Sunday afterwards and it definitely felt smoother, but not much quicker. I didn't drive the car on Monday, as I was stuck "driving my desk". I went to the gym Tuesday morning as usual, but as it is only a few miles away the car was really only in cold start mode. After this I took it for an exploratory drive and all I can say is wow what a difference !! the tune has obviously kicked in. The car is smoother in every gear, it cruises in 5th gear at 40 mph, whereas before it was labouring, pulls like a train in every gear, and the flat spot over 3000 revs is gone. I can really feel the torque > improvement, especially in 2nd and 3rd...it really does feel like a different engine. So for anyone who is dithering about getting this done, just make your booking and pay your money, because, without this you are really only getting half your money's worth out of your car. VW Golf 1.9 TDi 90bhp

I chose Celtic tuning, because unlike many companies, they will travel to your door to carry out the upgrade at a very competitive price. They also claim they can increase power from 90-125bhp, whereas many other companies only offer 110-115bhp. Graham arrived on the day as arranged. Little did he know that I have professional timing gear for recording 0-60mph performance. I recorded some performance stats earlier in the day to compare with the tuned figures. The remap took just under an hour. Graham simply plugged his equipment into the ECU to copy the existing engine tuning parameters. He then fed this into a laptop and altered the various parameters that control fuel, turbo boost and timing. The remapped file is then fed back into the cars ECU. However a copy of the original fiule is retained if ever we want to revert back to the factory settings. Although I have not been able to use a rolling road to verify the power claim, the post-tuning performance figures pretty much confirm that the extra power is there. 0-60mph acceleration has improved, dropping from 12.55 seconds to 9.64 seconds. 30-70mph through the gears was also over 2 seconds quicker, down from 11.6 seconds to 9.6 seconds. 0-80mph acceleration is 4.8 seconds faster - now 16.98 seconds as opposed to 21.82 seconds. More importantly overtaking ability has markedly improved with the 50-70mph increment now taking 6.9 seconds instead of 10.5 seconds formerly. To put that into perspective, fifth gear acceleration on the tuned car is even faster than the 4th gear 50-70mph time in original tune (7.9 seconds). Instead of dropping a gear to overtake, I simply bury my foot in the carpet. Bearing in mind I am not a professional road tester, the figures are impressive, and yet they could probably be bettered in the right hands. In conclusion, the remap has made the car smoother, more responsive and more enjoyable to drive. So far there have been no discernible problems after a weeks use. Fuel economy does not appear to have been adversely affected. In fact my wife is so impressed, she asked why we didn't have the upgrade carried out sooner. Enough said!

VW Golf 2.0 TFSi 197bhp Remap

Thanks again to Peter who carried out the re-map on my GTI, I thought the car was quick before the re-map but now its even more responsive and a lot more fun to drive. Celtic Tuning were professional and helpful at all times and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone thinking of having there car re-mapped.

VW Jetta 2.0 TDi 138bhp Remap

Gareth from Celtic arrived on time (which is always a good sign) and after about an hour he had completed the retune. On the test drive I could feel the extra power but it was not until 2 days and 250 miles later that the car smoothed out, and then it started to deliver its proper power. My Jetta now pulls like a train, the difference is extraordinary, it pulls in 3rd like 2nd, and the fuel eco has now hit 57 mpg if you drive it with economy in mind. All in all well worth it, thanks to Celtic I now have a Jetta that goes like a Jet. Owen

VW Passat Tdi 130

Before Remap:Power 130bhp, Torque 228lbft After Remap:Power 185bhp, Torque 310lbft Objective was to remove ‘flat spots’. Especially the ‘turbo lag’ you get trying to sprint off. Torque band typically at 1900 - 2100 rpm I wanted a quicker response from a standing start. Mark the technician performed the remap with his trusty laptop and magic software. He was punctual, helpful, professional and friendly - thanks Mark. Objectives met plus more:- 1. No ‘flat spots’ car is able to sprint now, great at busy roundabouts 2. Acceleration incredible in all gears 3. Higher Torque band now through all rpm range - 900 - 3000rpm ! 4. More responsive, much improved acceleration generally. 5. Absolute delight to drive ! I would highly recommend Celtic Tuning to anyone.

VW Passat 1.9 TDi 115bhp

Just thought I'd let you know now I'm back on roads I know and have had a chance to try the car out properly I am very pleased the car pulls hard from 1400 rpm all the way to 4000+ rpm in any gear, I found I have had to change the way I use the throttle (slightly more than I used to) to make use of any of the power increase and after a day or two it was quite natural. My test route hill which caused the problems I tried late the other evening and reached an indicated 110mph before I had to lift for the bend definite improvement! towing is massively improved less down changes and when you do have to change down no trace of a flat spot just an engine willing to pull. I appreciate the extra work you had to put in on my car and I'm well pleased with the result, I will happily recommend you to anyone.

VW Polo 1.9 TDi 100bhp Remap

Booked my car in last week on celtics website came out thursday and did a mobile remap, the car felt quick standard with it 100bhp but when mark and graham had finish with it bloody hell it didnt half shift. Final rough figure were around 150 to 155ish bhp and i think he said about 268ish lbft (but i might be wrong haha) just want to say a big thanks to the guys who did it for me and highly recommend to anyone wanting more power and torque. VW Touareg 2.5 TDi 171bhp

Celtic Tuning did a great job on my Touareg. Mark turned up bang on time and set too on both mine and my friends BMW 320d. Although I do not know what the exact power increase was, I can say that there was one. The car accelerates better than before, more like the 3 litre and towing the caravan seems effortless. My overall opinion is 'very pleased' and very pleased I chose Celtic Tuning. As regards my friend he is delighted with the improvement of his BMW, two more satisfied customers. Dave

VW Transporter T4 2.5 Tdi 88 bhp

I turned up to the pre-arranged place dubious as to how much difference it would make to my van, but having have been recommend by a mate I was positive. After what seemed like a very short time the van was ready. I went for the test drive with Kevin and all I could think was this is a case of the emperor’s new clothes! He was telling me it was better, quicker and more powerful, but wasn't sure I could feel it! I left in the van not sure what I'd spent my money on. During the next ten miles the van seemed to change it's characteristics. After a hundred miles the van was totally different, now having done nearly a thousand since, the van is awesome! It has masses more power, it's towing ability, ability to hold speed and torque up hills and general acceleration is vastly improved. It takes some time to work it's self in. When it does it is an amazing difference.
