The new 2.2 i-DTEC uses the very latest EDC17 ECU controller and software development has now been finalised. Running the latest 1800 bar Piezo injectors it is a solid base for tuning and provides extremely smooth, clean results. The torque has deliberately been kept around 300lbft to ensure prolonged clutch life, this can be raised upon request. We develop all of our software on the rolling road to ensure accuracy in terms of both power delivery and also to ensure fueling, boost pressures and exhaust gas temperatures are all within tolerance. Our aim is for maximum power whilst maintaining optimum reliability.

Ladies / Gents, Just wanted to say a big thank you for your help on Saturday to get my car re-mapped.

You have turned my 2.2 IDTEC Auto Accord into what I can only describe as a pleasure to drive! From leaving your workshop on the Saturday lunch time some of the changes were noticeable instantly, with the engine starting much smoother and driving really quiet even at harsh acceleration. I covered approx 290 miles the next day on my drive back from Helston and my average mpg climbed from 37.8 on the journey down to 44.8mpg. In gear speed is where the big change has come, with 3rd & 4th gear pulling really strong. Power rises smoothly up and over 4000rpm with no sudden loss of power at peak point, also with this car being an auto – 3rd gear from 30mph to 60mph takes a fraction of its original time. The re-map and torque converter work well together and deliver a sit back in your seat punch from low down the rev range.

To confirm the mpg, I did a tank top up check to calculate the old fashioned way and in surprise the car had actually managed 51mpg on the cruise back up the M5. This car has a new lease of life and actually for once gets near those figures for fuel consumption actually quoted by Honda!

So once again thank you Celtic Tuning, see you again in 3yrs.

Celtic – Once again another flawless re-map.

After having my IDTEC Auto Accord re-mapped at your workshop earlier in the year, I had to call for your assistance following a recent safety recall on the IDTEC engine resulting in Honda re-flashing the vehicle back to standard. Scott arrived bang on time as promised and swiftly got on with the work at the hotel where I was staying overnight. Overall the work took around 1 hour 45 to complete and on the test drive the vehicle was back to its former glory with the smooth but punchy power delivery right up to the red line. For me it’s back to driving using the steering wheel paddles as this re-map makes the car that more enjoyable to drive!

Once again thank you for your help and assistance. See you all in a couple of years when I swap this motor out.
