Do I need a DSG remap if I have an engine ECU remap?

If your engine ECU remap has raised torque output beyond the limit set inside the DSG controller, the gearbox will restrict that torque regardless of what the engine is producing. In this case, a DSG remap is not just beneficial — it is necessary to fully realise the gains from the engine tune.
