What is DSG tuning? 

DSG tuning — also called a TCU remap or DSG remap — modifies the software in the DSG transmission control unit to improve shift performance, raise torque limits, adjust shift points, and enable or configure features such as launch control and flat shift. You can do it as a standalone modification or alongside an engine ECU remap. The options available vary by gearbox generation — not all functions are present in every controller.
