How much will the remap cost?
ECU remap pricing varies depending upon a number of factors, and due to this, we operate a quotation request process. We want to ensure that you receive the correct price for your exact vehicle, location and requests.
The main factors that affect price
The vehicle itself – the method by which we read/write your ECU varies by vehicle. Most modern vehicles can be remapped via the OBD port, whilst others require a direct connection to the ECU In some older cases, it may be that the ECU chip needs desoldering, or indeed you have the latest anti-tuning protection that requires us to send away your ECU for unlocking. Each method has differing complexities and time associated along with potential additional costs.
How you would like the remap completed – We have a number options. In England and Wales, our mobile service allows us to provide our services directly at your home or workplace. Alternatively, you may wish to visit either our Newquay, Cornwall or Derby locations, where your vehicle can be tuned on our state-of-the-art Dynocom 4WD dyno.
Dealer Network locations – Celtic Tuning operates in over 35 countries worldwide through our independent dealer network. Each dealer is free to set their own pricing based on their local market, meaning pricing will vary from country to country and location. This independence ensures our dealers can remain competitive in their own market whilst providing a premium ECU remap from Celtic Tuning.
The complexity of development required – for common vehicles, where we have fully developed software, the process is straightforward. However, for custom setups, rare exotic cars or for the complexity of individual customer requests, this could mean our full development process is required. This involves dyno time, data logging, and it may mean extensive time researching Damos and funktionsrahmen. All of these will result in an increased cost.
